CLOTHING

TRJP accepts new/gently used clothing and accessories, as well as unopened toiletries and cosmetics. Please read the guidelines and drop-off instructions below. All clothing must be washed immediately prior to donation.

  

Check our Facebook and Instagram for updates on what we need right now. Some of our ongoing needs include:

  • Underwear (new, with the original tag/packaging)

  • Plus-size clothing

  • Large women's shoes (size 11+, especially wide sizes)

  

If you wish to donate items besides clothing, contact us first to make sure we can accept them!

 

WISH LIST

You can purchase items online and have them shipped directly to us!

  • Visit our online wish list. 

  • Place an order using the shipping address on the wish list.

    • Double check the size and style/color!

  • Return to the wish list and mark the item as "purchased." This lets us know that an order has been placed.

  • After the order has shipped, please send the tracking number and/or estimated arrival date to therainbowjacketproject@gmail.com so we can keep an eye out for packages.

 

MONETARY DONATIONS

We use funds to purchase requested clothing items, as well as for basic operating expenses. Donation receipts can be provided upon request.

Drop off during business hours (12-6pm, closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays). Just let an employee know it's for The Rainbow Jacket Project and they'll contact us!

DONATION GUIDELINES​​

The majority of TRJP's clients are age 18-28. If you have styles for people much older or younger than this, consider donating them to another organization—we have limited storage space.

 

  • All clothing must be washed immediately prior to donation. We will not accept clothes that arrive with pet fur, dirt, strong odors, etc. 

  • Used clothes should be in good condition: no tears/holes, large stains, or unraveling seams. 

  • Underwear and socks must be new, with the original tag/packaging.

  • For hygienic reasons, toiletries and cosmetic products must be new and sealed.

  • Adult sizes only. No children's or babies' clothing.

  • No pajamas, swimsuits, or costumes.

  • No maternity clothing.
